Your details saved to their phone before the handshake ends

A vCard or business-profile QR code adds you to a contact list in one scan — no typing, no lost cards.

QR codes for business cards and company profiles

Why it works

Cards stop going stale

Change your number or title once and every printed card points at the new details.

Nothing gets retyped

Contact details land in the phone exactly as you entered them.

Works beyond paper

The same code goes on a badge, a stand banner or the last slide of a deck.

How do I put a QR code on a business card?

  1. Choose vCard or business profile
  2. Fill in the details you want shared
  3. Download the vector file for your printer
  4. Reprint only when the design changes

vCard or a profile page — which to encode

A vCard writes your details straight into the phone’s address book with no page load and no network. It is the right choice when the goal is simply to be saved as a contact. A profile page is a URL, so it can carry more than a contact record — hours, a map, a portfolio, a booking link, several team members — but it needs connectivity and a tap to save anything. Cards handed out at events usually want vCard; cards representing a business with an online presence usually want the page.

Why a dynamic code outlives the print run

Business cards are printed in the hundreds and then slowly distributed over a year or more. In that time people change desk numbers, job titles and sometimes employers. A static vCard freezes whatever was true at print time and quietly becomes wrong. A dynamic code lets you correct the details once, and every card already in circulation resolves to the corrected version.

Sizing a code for a card

A business card is 85 × 55 mm, which leaves very little room. Keep the code at least 20 mm square, leave the quiet zone clear of rules and folds, and never let it cross the trim edge. Use the vector PDF and specify the millimetre size for the printer rather than placing a PNG and scaling it — an upscaled raster code is the single most common reason a printed card refuses to scan.

Questions about business card QR codes

Does it work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes. vCard is the standard contact format and both platforms open it with the built-in camera.

What happens when I change jobs?

On a dynamic code, edit the details and existing cards resolve to the new information. Static codes carry the details permanently.

How small can the code be on a card?

Keep it at least 2 cm across and leave the quiet zone clear. The PDF export lets you set the exact millimetre size.
